This last
work on the subject was very short but interesting. Despite having little time
to do it, the teams did it very well and were able to count things curious and
creative.
My partners
“AMIGOS DEL FOTBALL” was the first
group that speak. They talked about inclusive schools, although we
talked this issue before in organization and in other subjects, have been able
to explain it quite clearly and have added new concepts. In addition, another
group also speaks on this subject, THE UNKNOWNS.
For me, the
concept of inclusion is broader than the integration since it is related to the
nature of education and the school. It brings with it a particular community
students learn together, regardless of their personal, social or cultural
conditions.
The
inclusive school, as Stainback, is the process by which is offered to all
children, regardless of ability, race or any other difference, the opportunity
to continue to be members of the ordinary class and learn from peers, and with
them in the classroom also commented on something that also this agree: schools
should ask in interviews each teacher skills to take into account the
experience of each one and how solve the problems to have a class where
everyone feel part of it.
To prove
his theories, we have taught two videos, both are recorded in different
schools: Amara Berri School and Pelouro School, where carry out this type of
methodology so that all children feel good about themselves, so that they can
express themselves as they are without any kind of discrimination or exclusion
in classes or at school.
The other
group, the unknowns, we showed a video about father Piquer school; this school
was a campaign that wanted to help the most needy. The College is located in an
area where there is much social, cultural and economic difference and wanted to
open a school with the intention of helping these people and create an
inclusive education different from the others. Its objective is that children learn
in the best way possible; helping their companions, with a cooperative
learning, with respect to persons other than them, among others. To do this,
sought for a long time qualified for this type of teaching, teachers what they
call: "classroom cooperative multi-tasking", where are trying to
develop multi-tasking, project learning and helping children to create their
own learning, therefore also the teachers help among them, having more than one
class.
In
conclusion, I can say that inclusive classrooms are a method that should be
implemented in all schools without important where you are or the kind of
methodology that want to employ. Children should feel part of the school,
without discrimination, bullying or any other problem of acceptance.
The following
team was TEAM PERK, speaking on ITC
and improvement. They began teaching a video where we show as new
technologies, such as all are treated as we know, it is a method that is
beginning to be implemented all over the world and which, overall, has given very
good results. Although they exist disadvantages (as with everything new), the
advantages of these devices feature have helped children feel part of a group,
without being excluded and in addition, it has given very good results for
children with hyperactivity or concentration problems, as well as for disabled
children.
They also
talked about the importance of training teachers, both the current and which
are yet to come, because it is not having the latest technology models if you
don't know to use or make good use of classroom. In addition, if a teacher is
qualified for this type of teaching, transmitted to children and parents the
importance of technology, especially in view of the future.
With this
we can conclude that they talked about the different social networks and
applications that exist in the world of education with these new technologies,
and that not only the tablet or the digital displays are also important but
that Robotics is opening a long way in the branches of technology.
MODERN STUDENTS, on the other hand, spoke about ways of
living together in the school.
This work
was divided into several parts: the first talked about the school mediation,
explaining how occur problems such as bullying, exclusion and violence in
classes and children in general. The school mediation responds with two
different ways, the prevention and remedying of damage or the intervention of
people on this issue. I think that to solve these problems, both teachers and
children and parents must intervene in the situation since parents are the most
responsible for the acts and behavior of his son. Also parents and educators
have to teach values and strategies to solve the problems which arise in any
situation.
The part
that most interested me was a book that made reference. This book, by what I
understood, he was referring to archaeology as a metaphor for how solve
problems that may occur in schools. In this book, each chapter it talks about
different States. The first excavation which seeks what the problem is and that
it has emerged, second inquiry where explains you which is the relationship of
the people at the school, i.e., students- teacher, teacher- teacher, student-
student; always taking into account the family forming a hierarchy within the
school. Then, discovery, done refers to the emotional education of the student.
Protection, which is the last point, we can see that you can change to improve
the college, for example, the values. And finally, exposure explaining that if
the method you used to combat this problem goes well in your class, as a
teacher you have the moral duty to share it with coworkers, so other teachers
practice it in their classes.
WANDERLUST this group explained an important in the college
point and something of which knew that it existed, but I wasn't sure what it
was called or of how it was. Its theme was social and emotional learning.
Sara, Belén and Miguel gave great importance to this issue, explaining the why
should establish itself as a subject more and help children to know what they
feel and control their emotions. On the one hand I agree, but on the other hand
seems a little exaggerated to give the same importance to language or
mathematics. Is clear that children must learn that they are emotions, how to
control them and above all how to express them, but I think that this kind of
task and procedure can be done in early childhood education, and if we see that
the child to suffered some trauma, trouble family or simply costing much behave
in certain ways in certain situations, we would suggest them to parents this
kind of support to help their children to be better with themselves and with
others.
Therefore,
also teach us the importance of teachers and parents on this issue, being two
people should engage in the relationship with your children and how they make
you see the world how they feel.
They also
talked about multiple intelligences, giving importance to the intrapersonal,
which helps you to know yourself, see your skills, your strengths, and above
all your feelings. For this, they also gave importance to the interpersonal,
talking about cooperative learning. They explained that to develop your
feelings and show it to others, this type of learning method is the best, so
the children can see how they feel in a group, as they behave in different situations...
Above all,
the most important is that children respect, to be put in the shoes of others,
who feel that another child can feel at the moment.
MUSICAL CHAIRS.
Although we
could not see the presentation of this group, they explained in his blog his
subject with the concept map and its video.
This group
speak on community learning. What does it mean? Community learning is
the coordination in the classroom between teachers, students and volunteers.
Through this method is trying to see that schools are not something isolated to
society but that is proportionally related to everything that is happening. For
this they are volunteers, referred to above. These people are dedicated to give
talks to children are aware of what is happening in the world. They do not
necessarily have to have training, but they must be experts on the subject will
expose for possible discussions or questions.
Volunteers
must have a certain relationship with teachers and students, i.e., collaborate,
communicate, cooperate and coordinate in such a way that the information
reaches the correct.
This
process has three sentences. The first is called Dream, at this stage, all
possibilities of improvement for the Center are intended (methodologies,
classroom...)
The second
phase is called priorities where they select the best proposals, the most
necessary or feasible that help us to relate to reality.
The third
"working community" puts into practice the different solutions to the
difficulties that can be found.
DUMBLENDORE TEACHER´S ARMY. This group speak about the Leadership.
Although there are many factors to make a school work properly, the leadership
that people exercise at the centers is one of the main reasons.
Why is important leadership for schools? Yes, I think it is important
because all Centre must have a leader who check and take track of everything
that happens. In addition, people must be guided by someone greater who set
rules and laws. This leader must be the people who have the solutions for
almost all problems that may occur or, at least, know who seek to solve them.
What are the characteristics for a good leader? For me, the most important
characteristics for a good leader are communication: a leader must know to
express what you think, make known their point of view, and try to reach
agreements with people’s member of the group and how to act in every situation.
Confidence: a leader has to convey confidence that people are given to talk to
him, to tell him the problems, ask for help. Enthusiasm: a leader must see
motivated, interested in the subject, it should always be positive and hope for
the best of each. Responsible for: a leader has to face for others; you have to
be an organized person, carrying things a day and be responsible for all the
activities must comply with.
Finally, we
speak of my work, of CRONICAS VIAJERAS.
We talk about ICT and learning disabilities, about the importance
of technology in the schools to include people with disabilities or with any
problem.
We focus on
exposing problems such as Down's syndrome, autism, and motor disabilities, since
they are the ones we believe that more aid has provided technology. We have
sought information and videos about this theme and the variety of ways that we
have found ourselves impressed much. Different devices as digital blackboards,
tablets, mobile, camera, pictograms or robots are those who have found more
useful explain why those who are actually, proven scientifically, work.
Measures to
be considered that we explained in our presentation will allow that persons
with disabilities are trained and to have access to technological development
and occupy the place that corresponds to them in making decisions that affect
their lives: a new world with greater technological potential than before,
helping children feel included in classes and reducing the differences that
exist between them.
As conclusion I can say that all these issues are necessary to treat us if we want to perform an ideal school, a society where we accept all and that all schools are trained for the operation. Makes us realize the importance of technologies, the inclusion of different people (disability, nationality...) and of the qualities that must be a good teacher or a good leader to carry this out in the best possible way. It also shows us that a school has to be integrated in society, which can not be somewhat isolated.
